MUSCAT: Over 200 children of Oman Arab Bank (OAB) staff from across the Sultanate enjoyed a unique opportunity to join their parents at work during their summer break. Giving them a glimpse into the world of banking and beyond, the Bring Your Kids to Work initiative is a diverse program of workshops and experiences tailored to different age groups and interests, such as arts, photography, technology and banking.
Leen al Atassi, Head of Corporate Communications at Oman Arab Bank, said: “At OAB, we are dedicated to nurturing a supportive and engaging work environment. This extends to the personal growth and development of our employees’ children. With Bring Your Kids to Work, we wanted to give the participating children enriching opportunities for skill-building and exposure to new experiences, as well as helping to foster a sense of community throughout the bank.”
She added, “The thoughtfully designed program captivated children and helped them gain a better understanding of banking and their parent’s workplace, enabling them to connect what they are learning in school to the work environment.”
For an entire week, OAB hosted a series of workshops packed with interactive sessions, hands-on activities and engaging discussions plus challenges and competitions. The activities aimed at enhancing skills such as creativity, problem solving, critical thinking and financial literacy.
