Dortmund, Germany: Borussia Dortmund backup keeper Alexander Meyer has extended his contract with the club until June 2025,Dortmund said on Friday.
"Alex is much more than a second goalkeeper. Whenever he has been needed, he has proven his capabilities at an extraordinarily high level. He's an absolute team player, a great footballer and a very reliable professional," Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl said.
Meyer played seven Bundesliga games for the team last season.
"I will play my part to ensure that we enjoy success and win titles in the near future. I'm very happy to remain part of the Dortmund family," he said.
