The National Employment Programme introduced the groundbreaking ‘Khuta’ (Steps) platform, aimed at equipping local youth with essential skills for future job market challenges and fostering a culture of work. This will be the first of its kind in the Sultanate of Oman.
The interactive platform, launched under the auspices of Dr Khamis bin Saif al Jabri, Chairman of “Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit,” serves as a comprehensive national resource for career guidance, integrating educational outputs with the needs of the labour market.
With innovative tools and resources, ‘Khuta’ empowers individuals to make informed professional decisions, explore diverse career paths, and develop skills aligned with future market demands.
It also fosters close partnerships between educational institutions and economic sectors, creating employment opportunities and aligning study programmes with market needs.
The platform offers essential services such as programme identification, accreditation verification, awareness of future skills, and skill development support, while incorporating Artificial Intelligence for seamless operations and constant service provision. The first interactive national electronic platform for career guidance was launched in the presence of Dr Mahad bin Said Baowain.
