Gen Al Numani, Sayyid Badr receive Indian National Security Adviser

MUSCAT: Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office received in his office on Monday Ajit Doval, National Security Adviser in the Republic of India, and his accompanying delegation.


The meeting took place within the context of the attention accorded by Oman to current regional and international issues and in reaffirmation of Oman’s status on the global arena, where it gained confidence due to its constant policy of advocating dialogue and peace.


Gen Al Numani welcomed the guest who expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Sultanate of Oman for enhancing means of cooperation to achieve the joint interests of the two countries.


During the meeting, the two sides exchanged cordial conversations and discussed various matters of mutual interest.


The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Sultanate of Oman.

Also, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister, received Ajit Doval. The two officials discussed strategic relations between the two countries and aspects of cooperation about promising sectors in technological, military and mining spheres. Their conversations also touched on bilateral relations in commercial, cultural and investment fields.


On behalf of the government of the Sultanate of Oman, Sayyid Badr congratulated the Republic of India for successfully hosting the G20 meetings.


The officials also exchanged views about a number of current regional and international issues. They underscored their two countries leaderships’ emphasis on espousing policies of constructive dialogue and international cooperation.


The meeting was attended by Shaikh Ahmed bin Hashil al Maskari, Head of the GCC and Regional Neighbourhood Department, Amit Naranj, Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Sultanate of Oman, and officials from both sides. - ONA
