Oman Olympic compete in first group of the Arabian Games

The 15th Arab Sports Games, set to take place in Algeria from July 5 to 15. The event will witness participation of all Arab countries in various games. The football being one of the prominent highlights. Recently Oman National Olympic team has been placed in the first group along the host Algeria, Lebanon, and Sudan.


The football competitions are scheduled to be held from July 2 to 14. The matches will take place in the three stadiums which located in Algiers, Constantine, and Annaba.


In the tournament, Oman, Algeria, Lebanon, and Sudan will compete together, while Palestine, Syria, Saudi Arabia, and Mauritania form the second group. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.


In related news, the Oman Olympic team delegation arrived on Tuesday after their successful participation in the fourth West Asian Championship held in Iraq. The team displayed success by qualifying for the Semi-final, securing victories over Lebanon and Yemen with clean sheets, and narrowly losing the semi-final match against Iraq with a score of 1-0.


Following short rest, the players will resume their training and preparations for the upcoming competitions. The Arabian Games in Algeria and the U-23 Asian Nations Qualifiers, are scheduled to be held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, in September.


The Olympic team is eager to showcase its talent, determination, and unwavering spirit as they compete against some of the strongest footballing nations in the Arab region. With a rich history and a strong footballing culture, Oman is poised to make a lasting impression in both the Arab Sports Games and the U-23 Asian Nations Qualifiers.
