Hayy al Sahil project launched for sale, open to all nationalities

Qurayyat Development Company, the owner of the Hayy al Sahil project, and Al Madina Real Estate Company, officially launched sales of residential units under the patronage of Salem bin Mohammed al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, Sheikh Hilal bin Khalid al Maawali, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qurayyat Development Company; Eng. Khamis bin Mubarak al Kiyumi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Madina Real Estate Company.

Al Mahrouqi said stressed the importance of the project in developing the tourism sector in the state of Qurayyat and its role in reviving the tourism and economic movement in Muscat Governorate.


The Minister added that the Hayy al Sahil project, upon its completion, would reflect positively on the economic and social levels, especially on the neighboring areas of the project, which will directly benefit from the project, which will include many tourist facilities such as hotels and others.


Al Maawali said the project is considered a tributary to tourism development projects in Muscat Governorate, as the first tourism project with integrated services and facilities, where sales of residential units begin today, pointing to the importance of economic diversification that the Sultanate seeks under the wise leadership of His Majesty the Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.

He also added, "Qurayyat Development Company, will do everything required to enhance the government's vision and contribute to the implementation of the pioneering tourism strategy that the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has developed in accordance with a promising vision for the Sultanate, which has imposed itself on the map of global tourist destinations, and we are pleased to announce today the launch of sales for Hayy al Sahil project, which will take place in three phases due to the size and diversity of the project, as the project represents a great value for the infrastructure of Omani tourism, as well as its role in Marketing the state of Qurayyat as an attractive destination for major projects that will benefit everyone, especially the dear people of the state".



Eng. Abdullah bin Salem al Shuaili, a board member of Qurayyat Development Company, gave a presentation on the project, in which he said, "The most prominent components of the project are distributed over three main aspects, tourism, residential and entertainment, where the tourist facilities include the construction of three hotels with a classification of 3, 4 and 5 stars, respectively, offering 750 rooms, in addition to a golf academy."


Al Shuaili added that the residential side includes the construction of more than 3,000 multi-space housing units offered for freehold ownership for citizens and foreigners, while the recreational side includes a games park, green spaces, a boulevard walkway that includes shops with a group of restaurants and cafes, in addition to a number of cinemas, and an integrated health club, and the project includes enhancing the benefit of the fishing port and developing a floating marina to receive shipping ships, which will facilitate the movement of visitors and tourists alike between Muscat and all tourist ports.


He stressed that the development of the project will take place in three phases with three years for each phase.


The first phase includes preparing the infrastructure of the project at a cost of RO40 million, with the development of 400 housing units on an area of 45,000 square meters, in addition to a 4-star hotel consisting of 220 hotel units, including 100 hotel chalets and extends over an area of more than 53,000 square meters on the waterfront of the project, as well as a residential commercial district Boulevard on an area of 53,000 square meters, greenhouses, bicycle walkway, halls for events and celebrations, an aerobic park and a breed of restaurants with a stunning view of the components of the project, which aims to highlight the heritage identity of the state, an equestrian club, and camel riding, in addition to some recreational and commercial facilities to be the main attraction destination for the project in terms of entertainment and in a way that enriches the citizen and resident from traveling abroad to obtain this recreational tourism product.


He said the second largest phase of the project includes the development of 1,600 housing units on a land area of 221,000 square meters, in addition to a large mosque with an area of approximately 10,000 square meters, in addition to a new three-star hotel with 150 rooms extending over an area of approximately 50,000 square meters, in addition to the expansion of the first 4-star hotel on the waterfront by adding 120 rooms and new suites, and this phase includes the establishment of a golf club and academy on A total area of nearly a quarter of a million square meters, which constitutes a valuable addition to this sports tourism product, which has become one of the most important attractions in the world.


Al Shuaili pointed out that the third and final phase of the project includes 3,000 housing units ranging from apartments and villas, as well as 36 luxury villas on the waterfront of the project, in addition to expanding the tourism infrastructure by adding 180 new rooms to the 3-star hotel and establishing a new 5-star hotel with 200 rooms and suites with a stunning view of the waterfront and boat marina and an area of more than 75,000 square meters.


Al Kiyumi added: "Al Madina Real Estate Company is proud to be the main developer of this pioneering project in every sense of the word, and the basic designs of the project have been developed to combine modern designs with the authentic Omani architectural touch so that visitors and tourists feel the Omani features wherever they wander around the project, which extends over an area of approximately 1.3 million sqm".


For his part, Eng. Abdul Rahman bin Awadh Barham Baomar, CEO of Al Madina Real Estate Company, said that this project is one of the company's successive achievements, adding that the project constitutes a real starting point for domestic tourism, with its high-quality facilities, and authentic Omani characteristics.
