Muscat: The Royal Oman Police has reported heavy traffic congestion on the Al Dakhiliyah (from Nizwa)- Muscat road, starting from Samail and extending to the Al Jaffnain area.
Motorists have been urged to leave a safe distance to avoid hitting vehicles from the back.
"As work resumes on Tuesday after the Eid al Fitr holidays, traffic on the Nizwa-Muscat road has come to a standstill as people rush back to the capital to join work. The movement of trucks has been banned to ease road congestion," a motorist told the Observer.
