Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Thursday issued special pardon for a group of prisoners convicted in various cases.
An official source at the Royal Oman Police stated that 198 inmates are pardoned, of which 89 are expats.
The Royal pardon by His Majesty coincides with the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr 1444 AH.
