Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, in cooperation with the International Telecommunication Union, conducted a study on "Digital Innovation in the Sultanate of Oman: Analysis of Reality and Future Ambitions".
The study focused on assessing the enabling milieu for digital innovation in the Sultanate of Oman, prominent challenges and opportunities for developing digital innovation, in addition to the importance of identifying strategic priorities and recommendations, and the importance of developing a roadmap for technical innovation. It also included best international practices and experiences.
The study concluded by proposing a set of initiatives that the Ministry will work to implement in cooperation with various authorities concerned in order to achieve the objectives of the National Programme for Digital Economy and Oman Vision 2040".
The study will be available on the website of the International Telecommunication Union and the Arab Regional Office, and will be shared with stakeholders for easy access.
