Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology (MTCIT) are implementing a project to rehabilitate or refurbish the Al Batinah Highway at different locations between Wilayat of Barka and Khatmat Malaha in the Wilayat of Shinas.
The project includes the replacement of asphalt layers with a total length of 73 km along the Al Batinah Highway in separate locations, in addition to replacing damaged iron barriers, installing and replacing signboards and paint works according to the standard specifications approved in the Road Design Manual in the Sultanate of Oman.
The Al Batinah Highway is one of the important roads that has been witnessing heavy traffic and the works have been undertaken as part of the necessary periodic maintenance work to ensure the safety of the road users.
