Dhofar dominate Oman Club with 4-1 victory

MUSCAT: Dhofar thrashed Oman Club 4-1 in the 20th round of the Omantel League at Al Saada Sports Complex Stadium on Tuesday.


In the first-half, Dhofar advanced with two goals from two penalty kicks executed by professional players Braya Wilmerson and Abdullah Fawaz.


In the second half, another professional player Joseph added two goals for Dhofar, while Majid al Balushi pulled one back for Oman Club.


After this victory, Dhofar jumped to sixth place with 30 points. Oman club remained in fifth place with 31 points.


The match started with mutual attacks with an advantage for Dhofar.


In the 11th minute, Dhofar Club got a penalty kick, which was executed by Brazilian Praia Wilmerson, scoring the first goal for the team. In the 23rd minute, Dhofar got another penalty kick, executed by Abdullah Fawaz, scoring a second goal for the team in the 34th minute.


The second half began with cautious attacks, and in the 53rd minute, Dhofar added their third goal through Joseph. In the 57th minute, Joseph netted the fourth goal. Oman Club managed to reduce the deficit in the 90th minute through Majid al Balushi header.


Omar al Yaqoubi was the chief referee and assisted on the lines by Hamed al Ghafri, Saleh al Balushi, Mazin al Mashikhi Rabaa and Abdullah bin Omar Baaboud. Saeed al Matroushi was the match observer and Asim Bahajaj, general coordinator of the match.


MUSANNAH, BAHLA SHARE POINTS


At the Al Rustaq Sports Complex, Al Musannah and Bahla ended the match in a 1-1 draw. Bahla advanced with the goal of Ghanaian Robert Jansa, and Al Musannah scored the equaliser through Hammoud al Saadi to share the points.


Al Musannah remained in ninth place with 24 points, while Bahla jumped to fourth place with 31 points.
