MUSCAT: The second edition of the ‘Observer Round Table’ that aims at shedding more light on a contemporary topic will be held at the Ministry of Information premises at 10 am today.
The debate aims at brainstorming on a subject relevant to the country by experts on a monthly basis and exchange ideas on a social issue and to draw conclusions by the participants.
The key speakers of today's debate are Shatha al Maskary, Founder of Lahunna, and Managing Director of Protiviti, Dr Neelesh Sogani, representative of iosh and RoSPA ambassador, and Samir al Zadjali, Human Resources Advisor.
Topic for today’s discussions will be the mismatch between the skillsets that the youth possesses and the requirements of the future job markets and how they need to adapt themselves to the changing times and equip themselves for the future challenges by updating and learning newer skills that give them a cutting edge.
Abdullah Salem al Shueili, Chief Editor, Oman Daily Observer will be the guest of honour while Qasim al Maashani will take the role of presenter.
The topic of the first round table in the series was 'The emotional conundrum in the post Covid-19 era' delving into the various facets of the pandemic and the need to provide emotional support to those who are traumatised in several ways.
