MUSCAT: The Royal Academy of Management (RAM) is being accorded great attention by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik since its establishment by a Royal Decree issued on January 11, 2022.

The RAM aims to develop national leaders at all administrative levels in the public and the private sectors through an integrated system of centres, initiatives and programmes that are based on the most prominent concepts and methods of modern management.

The RAM is considered as a leading scientific beacon in leadership and modern executive management that help achieve Oman’s future vision.

The Academy will serve as a reference for executive learning and a centre for developing national leaders and administrative competencies from the public and the private sectors.

It is envisioned as a platform for thought, administrative development and knowledge foresight to enhance the prospects of the Omani economy in a work environment that stimulates a culture of efficiency, productivity and innovation.

The RAM rolls out its programmes and initiatives through four specialised non-structural, autonomous centres to ensure rapid response to changes in the workplace.

The first of these centres is the Government Leadership Centre, established on Royal directives to enhance the efficiency of the state’s administrative apparatus and modernise its work mechanisms in line with the requirements and objectives of Oman’s Vision 2040.

The centre undertakes the process of developing national leaders at various administrative levels in the government targeting senior and executive leaders.

The second one is the Centre for Business Leaders inspired by the Royal address on the importance of the private sector and its role in development.

It is concerned with refining leadership competencies in the private sector and highlighting the latest trends.

The third one is the Local Administration Development Centre, implemented in response to the directives of His Majesty to direct development to the governorates, enhance their readiness for investment and develop their local role.

The fourth and last one is the Centre for Future Studies which comes in line with the priority of leadership and economic management in Oman Vision 2040.

It aims to establish renewable senior management based on competencies that suit market dynamics, future expectations, and rapid changes. — ONA
