Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Thursday issued two Royal decrees reading as follows:
Royal Decree No (13/ 2023) on ratifying a cooperation agreement in the field of shipping and ports between the government of the Sultanate of Oman and the government of the Kingdom of Bahrain, signed in Manama on October 24, 2022.
Article (1) ratifies the aforementioned agreement as per the version attached to this decree.
Article (2) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on its date of issue.
Royal Decree No (14/ 2023) ascribes the public utility status to the project of (Ibri bypass road) and (Ibri-Tenam) dual-carriageway in the Governorate of Al Dhahira.
Article (1) states that the project of (Ibri bypass road) and (Ibri-Tenam) dual-carriageway in the Governorate of Al Dhahira, as defined in the memo and diagram attached to this decree, is henceforth deemed a public utility project.
Article (2) stipulates that the authorities concerned may expropriate, through direct implementation, the properties and lands necessary for the aforementioned project, along will the installations therein in accordance with the Public Utility Expropriation Law promulgated by the Royal Decree No (64/ 78).
Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on its date of issue.
