MUSCAT: Today, February 25, marks the 62nd National Day and the 32nd Liberation Day of the State of Kuwait, with the country celebrating six decades of remarkable achievements under the leadership of Shaikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber al Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait. The occasion is celebrated annually on February 25.
Mohammed bin Nasser al Hajri, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Sultanate of Oman, highlighted the strong and balanced relations between Oman and Kuwait, with both countries sharing identical visions on various international and regional issues. Al Hajri added that the two countries also share economic projects, including the Duqm Refinery between the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and OQ Oman.
The State of Kuwait is currently ranked fourth in investment in Oman, with over 500 Kuwaiti companies operating in the country. The volume of trade exchange between Oman and Kuwait amounts to about $700 million.
According to the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait, there is close cooperation between the two countries on various levels, including economic, social, cultural and educational. He expressed his appreciation for the celebrations held by Oman on the occasion of Kuwait's National Day and Liberation Day.
Since its independence, the State of Kuwait has pursued a balanced foreign policy that focuses on openness, communication and human development, supporting the efforts of the international community towards establishing peace and security.
The State of Kuwait's achievements and contributions have made it a pivotal player in regional and international issues, while also gaining the world's attention for its humanitarian aid efforts.
