A meeting of the Municipal Council was held in the Office of the Governor of Al
Dakhiliyah on Tuesday.
Shaikh Hilal bin Said al Hajri, Governor of Al Dakhiliyah and Chairman
of the Municipal Council, headed the meeting in the presence of all members.
The meeting began with a welcome by the session chairperson, thanking their
efforts and cooperation in everything that serves the public interest. Then, he
approved the minutes and recommendations from the previous meeting. He also
reviewed the action taken in those recommendations.
The meeting reviewed the agenda's topics, including reviewing the efforts made
in the governorate in aspects related to the municipal sector and investment.
The council also discussed the statement of the Director-General of the
Directorate-General of Education in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate regarding a
request to allocate part of the schools' lands near the main street for commercial
investment. The council also reviewed the committee's minutes and reports and
the responses from some government agencies on many issues.
An important meeting issue was traditional industries and crafts in Al Dakhiliyah
Governorate and activities prohibited for foreign investors.
At the end of the session, the Governor, the Chairman of the Council, responded
to the questions and inquiries of the members of the council with total clarity. He
stressed the importance of concerted efforts between the Municipal Council,
government institutions, and private sector institutions in everything that benefits
the country and serves the public interest. The meeting came out with several
recommendations, visions and aspirations that would develop the governorate in
various aspects.
