The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has fined a commercial establishment for failing to provide required services to a consumer. In a statement, CPA said, "A commercial establishment engaged in the manufacture and supply of windows and doors did not fix the defects in one of its products after selling to a consumer. It also did not return the money to the customer. The case was transferred to the court, which ordered the establishment to be fined RO 3,000." The ruling added that the fine would be cancelled if the company corrected the defect. "The court also directed the establishment to pay RO 1,000 to the consumer," CPA stated.
