Muscat: In response to the royal orders of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultanate of Oman is operating an air bridge on Wednesday to transport relief and medical materials to the areas affected by the earthquake that struck the Syrian Arab Republic and the Republic of Turkey as a humanitarian service.
The Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority (CDAA), represented by a force from the National Search and Rescue Team, is also participating in the operations of the international search and rescue teams in southern Turkey as a result of the earthquake, as it left today via the Royal Omani Air Force.
Since the Turkish authorities announced the earthquake, the Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) has communicated with the International Search and Rescue Advisory Board of the United Nations Office (INSARAG) and confirmed that this force is in full readiness to participate in search and rescue efforts.
