

MUSCAT: Omran Group signed a cooperation agreement with the Office of the Governor of Al Buraimi to develop a number of tourism projects in Al Buraimi Governorate, as part of the group's efforts to strengthen partnership with various entities with the aim of advancing tourism development in the various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
The agreement was signed by Dr Hamad bin Ahmed al Busaidi, Governor of Al Buraimi and Eng Mohammed bin Salem al Busaidi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Omran Group.
Under this agreement, Omran Group will provide technical support and supervise the implementation of a platform project to interact with visitors at Al Buraimi Gate and the Al Abeela Park project in the governorate.
The first project will be implemented to be a platform for interacting with visitors and other activities through interactive digital panels and display screens that will showcase the history and culture that characterises Al Buraimi Governorate. Meanwhile, the Al Abeela Park will be developed on an area of more than 181,000 square meters to include many basic facilities to create a natural and recreational park.
Dr Hamad bin Ahmed al Busaidi said that this cooperation will work on creating value-added projects that stimulate tourism in Al Buraimi Governorate and contribute to raising the level of tourism facilities and services provided to visitors.
He also pointed out that the governorate witnessed, during the last period, the implementation of a number of important and vital projects that would attract visitors and promote economic development in the governorate, which would open up promising prospects and rewarding business opportunities for local companies and small and medium enterprises in the governorate.
Engineer Mohammed bin Salem al Busaidi confirmed that the Omran Group is exerting its efforts towards enhancing cooperation with various parties to achieve the goals of comprehensive tourism development. Omran Group is working on developing the tourism sector in various governorates through the development of various tourism projects and is actively contributing to the development of the tourism sector and enhance the economic diversification plans pursued by the government through cooperation with various parties in the local community. — ONA
