JAALAN BANI BU ALI: Activities of the ‘Al Ashkharah Winter Forum 2023’ in the Wilayat of Jaalan Bani Bu Ali, Governorate of South Al Sharqiyah begins today in the public theatre of the Municipality Park.
The five-day forum concludes on Saturday, January 28.
The forum aims to highlight the role of Omani youth in voluntary work and promoting Omani heritage, as well as supporting productive families in the wilayat.
The forum will also highlight various children’s programmes and general cultural competitions, and stimulating winter tourism movement, due to the tourism potential of Al Ashkharah.
Mohammed bin Sultan al Bateeni, general supervisor of the forum, explained that the forum includes many programmes and various social, artistic and recreational activities, including exhibits for productive families and craftsmen, a tent of heritage and poetry, stories of the past, a field for riding horses and camels, as well as an open exhibition of photos from the Niyabat Al Ashkharah.
The forum also contains folklore, children’s competitions and games, plays, and an artistic evening performed by a group of Omani poets and artists.
It is worth noting that this forum is organised by the Al Ashkharah Volunteer Team in cooperation with the Municipality of Jaalan Bani Bu Ali and the Omani Women’s Association, Wilayat of Jaalan Bani Bu Ali. - ONA
