MUSCAT: The Ministry of Labour and the Oman Society for Human Resources Management (OSHRM) yesterday unveiled details of the upcoming HR Conference in Muscat.
The 6th edition of the summit, titled 'The New Era of Work', will take place from February 7 to 9, 2023 at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre.
The three-day conference will offer a variety of workshops and panel discussions related to the field of human resources.
“The conference aims to develop human resources, enhance human capital and embrace the new work culture”, shared Manal al Harthi, Board Member and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Conference.
According to Al Harthi the conference will tackle a variety of topics including transformation of HR for tomorrow, future of workplace and workspace, employee engagement in a digital space, diversity and inclusion, and employee wellbeing.
Most notably, the conference will conduct a workshop targeted at creating a national human resources strategy in collaboration with Oman Vision 2040 and the Ministry of Labour.
Director General of Training at the Ministry of Labour, Dr Muhammad al Najjar, shared the following, “The cooperation between the Ministry of Labour and OSHRM stems from our belief that this association can aid in achieving our goal of developing our national human resources strategy.”
“The human resources field is integrated with all sectors, economic development is not possible without paying close attention to the HR sector. It is the most important factor in all the sectors, especially in Oman. While we are trying to achieve our 2040 vision, this is the sector we need to pay attention to,” he added.
According to organisers, more than 57 local and global speakers will participate in the event.
The conference will also include an exhibition and an award ceremony to honour outstanding individuals and entities in the field.
