Campaign to preserve coral reefs in Suhar

SUHAR: The Environment Authority (EA), represented by the Directorate of Environment of North Al Batinah Governorate, carried out a campaign to clean up coral reef as well as environmental events and exhibitions at Manial Park in Al Auwainat area in the Wilayat of Suhar.

Two hundred people from public and private establishments as well as civil societies and volunteer teams took part in the campaign and the events.

Nizar bin Saleem Al Fannah al Araimi, Director of the Directorate of Environment of North Al Batinah Governorate, said such campaigns aim at protecting the coral reef environment from pollutants and remnants of fishing tools and raise awareness of the importance of environmental protection.
