Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister, received Dr Majid Abdullah al Qasabi, Minister of Commerce, Acting Minister of Media of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) in Muscat on Thursday. They reviewed bilateral relations and touched on aspects of joint cooperation in various areas and means of enhancing them, especially in fields of business, investments and economic diversification.
They also discussed several regional and international matters of mutual interest. The meeting was attended by Dr Saleh bin Said Masan, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Commerce and Industry, and Abdullah Saud al Anzi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Sultanate of Oman.
In a separate meeting with Sultan bin Salim al Habsi, Minister of Finance, Dr Al Qasabi reviewed areas of cooperation and discussed matters of mutual interest. They also exchanged views on financial matters of common interest. The meeting was attended by Abdullah bin Salim al Harthy, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, MoCIIP Under-Secretary Dr Masan, Ambassador Al Anzi and officials.
Dr Abdullah bin Nasser al Harrasi, Minister of Information, also met Dr Al Qasabi. The meeting touched on the strong bilateral and fruitful cooperation between Oman and Saudi Arabia in various fields. They also discussed means of developing mechanisms of action in media and ways of activating the agreements signed in this field. They also explored the role each side can undertake in promoting the investment, commercial and tourism potentials of the two countries.
