Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Education, celebrated on Sunday the International Arabic Language Day, which falls on December 18 of each year. This year’s celebration comes under the slogan “The contribution of the Arabic language to human civilisation and culture.”
Darwish bin Muslim al Kiyumi, Director of the Supervision Department of Human Sciences at the Ministry of Education, in his speech said, the impact of the Arabic language on human civilisation was profound and influential and this was conveyed in the language of sciences of philosophy, medicine, engineering, mathematics and arts of all kinds.
Al Wusta educational schools celebrated the International Day of the Arabic Language, with the aim of instilling its importance and scientific status among the students. — ONA
