Shaikh Hilal bin Said al Hajri, Governor of Al Dakhiliyah, met with the technical team of National Employment Programme (NEP) in his office last week.
During the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) was signed between Al Dakhiliyah Governorate and the National Employment Programme, marked by Shaikh Hilal bin Said al Hajri, Governor of Al Dakhiliyah, and Eng Azhar bin Ahmed al Kindi, Technical Director of the NEP.
The memorandum aimed to qualify, train and create job opportunities for the people of Al Dakhiliyah Governorate in several economic, tourism, agricultural wealth, food security, and information technology fields.
The meeting was part of the communication plan implemented by NEP with local administrations in the governorates to enhance the joint work in the training and employment fields.
During the meeting, an introduction to the National Employment Programme and the efforts made by the programme to develop the employment system in the Sultanate of Oman was presented through the creation of various partnerships with various government and private agencies.
The national initiatives implemented by the programme, which train and qualify Omani cadres and source job opportunities for them in all economic sectors of the country, were also presented.
It was made by analysing all supply chains and value-added in various sectors in line with modern technologies and the communications revolution that the world is witnessing.
The meeting also presented the demographic statistics of the governorate and the available opportunities for training and qualifying the governorate’s people and finding job opportunities to serve the governorate’s future directions.
