Oman bags nine awards at WTA 2022

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has won nine awards in the fields of travel and tourism out of 69 awards that were presented to 50 countries around the world at the closing ceremony of the World Travel Awards (WTA) 2022.


The national airline, Oman Air, won awards for the World’s Leading Airline - Business Class, World’s Leading Airline - Customer Experience, and World’s Leading Airline Lounge - Business Class.

Muscat International Airport wins the award for the World’s Leading Airport - Customer Experience.


Salalah Airport wins the award for the World’s Leading Regional Airport in 2022.


The Chedi Muscat wins the award for the World’s Leading Beach Resort and Spa 2022.


Jumeirah Muscat Bay wins the award for the World’s Leading New Resort 2022.


Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel wins the award for the World’s Leading Palace Hotel 2022.


The Sultanate of Oman is crowned with the award for the best global destination for nature tourism, which is expected to reflect positively on attracting tourists during the next year 2023.
