Manama: Ali bin Saleh al Saleh, Bahrain’s Chairman of Shura Council has said that bilateral talks between His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and King Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain, incarnate the deep-rooted historical ties and the monarchs’ joint vision for the enhancement of development and prosperity of the two nations.

The two countries’ signing a number of agreements, memoranda of understanding and executive programmes affirm their resolve to go ahead with accomplishments in economic, political, investment, educational and health fields, among other areas, and realize the aspirations of their people’s interests and ties of kinship, Al Saleh added.

He pointed out that “The blessed visit of His Majesty the Sultan reflects the high status of bilateral relations, which keep gaining impetus and bringing the two nations closer to each other”.

The historic visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham will open wider vistas for the two nations and expand the scope of commercial and investment cooperation, said the Chairman of the Shura Council.

“The legislative authority took keen interest on utilizing parliamentary diplomacy and strengthening parliamentary relations with the Sultanate of Oman, besides emphasizing the principles of consultation and coordination, notably at global parliamentary events where a spirit of fraternity and cooperation prevails,” said Al Saleh at the conclusion of his statement.
