Muscat: Animal owners taking their animals to beaches, parks, or other public places must follow guidelines, Muscat Municipality warned.
The municipality stated that taking certain animals into public places without following the requirements can cause disturbance to family gatherings on beaches or in parks.
Local order 1/2011 specifies the need for the animal owners or escorts to take necessary precautions to prevent the disposal of animal waste from their waste in these places.
An animal's belt should be fitted and it should be licensed by the competent veterinary authority at the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources.
For anyone who violates these rules, a fine of RO 50 will be imposed, and the municipality can seek assistance from the Royal Oman Police to ensure that legal procedures are complied with.
All citizens and residents are requested to report any violations to the Municipal Call Center (1111) or through the Municipal Social Media accounts.
