The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology has invited local and Investment developers to submit their proposals for the development and operation of a satellite port at Dhalkout in Dhofar Governorate.

The tender is in line with the Omani government’s efforts to strengthen maritime logistics all along the country’s coastline through the establishment of port infrastructure at key locations.

Interested developers with proven experience in port development and operation have until October 16, 2022 to submit their proposals outlining their plans to upgrade and expand the existing facilities with a view to catalyzing economic investment in Dhalkout wilayat.

The project is part of the Ministry’s vision to support economic diversification through investments in a multimodal transport and logistics sector, particularly maritime ports, while also enhancing their administrative, organizational and operational efficiency (With inputs from ONA)
