Al Hamra: The Make a Smile and Leave a Trace volunteer team hosted entertainment activities for the children of Al Manthar area in Al Hamra ahead of the new school year.
The activities came with the message of promoting mental health among children. It also aimed to encourage children to go to school in a spirit of enthusiasm and work hard in studies. The initiative was keen on developing children's skills and instilling the values of citizenship.
Over 100 boys and girls aged 5-12 years took part in the event.
The event included many games, sports and activities to encourage students' talents. The programme also included a training workshop on how to make clip art from tissue paper.
The children enjoyed taking clicks in photo frames with the team logo as souvenirs.
The programme included face painting, drawing, and colouring.
The team presented mementos to the children.
The children expressed their overwhelming joy at the events and sought more such events in the future. Their parents also thanked the team members for making their children happy and positively motivating them to return to school in a spirit of joy and happiness.
