AL MAZYOUNA: Construction is in full swing at the Wilayat of Al Mazyouna’s hospital in the Governorate of Dhofar. The facility, being set up on an area of 90,000 sqm (building area 15,276 sqm), costs RO 15,359,970.
Eng Jamal bin Salim al Shanfari, Director-General of Projects and Engineering Affairs at the Ministry of Health, told Oman News Agency (ONA) that the hospital comprises general clinics, internal medical clinics, as well as dental, paediatric, surgery, ENT, ophthalmology and obstetric clinics. In addition, the hospital conducts an ‘expanded immunisation programme’.
Al Mazyouna Hospital has 50 beds and wards for men, women, children and maternity, besides emergency, dialysis, X-ray and laboratory sections. Auxiliary units at the hospital include a biomedical engineering workshop, a sterilisation unit, a medical warehouse and a general store. -- ONA
