MUSCAT: Bank Muscat, the leading financial services provider has extended its strong support to the Salalah Eat Festival, which concludes on August 13. The event was recently inaugurated by Dr Ahmed bin Mohsin al Ghassani, Chairman of Dhofar Municipality at the Hawana Resort, Salalah. Over 50 MSMEs are participating in the 10-day event, which offers strong support to the MSME sector and is also intensifying interest in the Sultanate of Oman's tourism sector with its excellent potential for diversification of Oman’s economy.

Abdullah bin Tamman al Mashani, General Manager – Products, Bank Muscat, expressed delight at the opportunity for the bank to participate in the event and said: “We are delighted to participate in the Salalah Eat Festival, which will help promote Salalah as a premium tourist destination for visitors from both within Oman and from across the world. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the organisers for giving us this opportunity to participate as the Official Banking Partner.”

Bank Muscat is also facilitating the participation of a number of Najahi customers at the festival. The bank’s stall at the event was a major hit with festival visitors for the various fun activities that were organised including a Fan Zone Photo Booth, raffle draws, a Kids’ Arena, face painting and a Game Booth. The bank also took the opportunity to showcase its recently-launched Limited Edition Visa Prepaid Card, and pointed out to customers that they can now easily apply for up to three of these cards through Internet or Mobile banking.

To add further excitement to the festival, the bank is giving away a total of 10 iPads through daily raffle draws. All that customers have to do to participate in the draw is to apply for a Prepaid card through their Banking app and show the proof of application at the Bank Muscat kiosk to receive a raffle ticket, which automatically entitles them to a chance in the raffle draw.

Over the past many years, Bank Muscat has successfully supported a number of initiatives and events that strengthen tourism and other national development priorities. It must be noted that the bank has supported the Tour of Salalah, the Tour of Oman, Muscat Festival and the Salalah Festival, all of which have drawn thousands of visitors from across the world to the Sultanate of Oman.
