Heavy rains damage roads in South Batinah

Muscat: The key road linking the wilayats of Nakhal and Awabi has been cut off for traffic after it caved in following heavy rains that lashed the area on Monday evening.


According to the Royal Oman Police (ROP), the authorities are developing an alternative unpaved road to restore the traffic between two the wilayats.


Authorities have urged people to avoid congestion on these temporary roads and avoid travel unless it is absolutely necessary.

Some roads such as the Dhank/ Al-Sunina;Yanqul /Suhar; Yanqul /Al Buraimi and Dhank/Yanqul have been opened for traffic.
