MoH advises public to follow health guidelines during Eid

Muscat: In implementation of the lofty directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik that highlight the importance of the Ministry of Health to take the necessary measures, the Ministry of Health (MoH), in coordination with the authorities concerned, will take appropriate measures to deal with developments resulting from the spread of the Covid-19, after the committee’s work is terminated.


Amid the increasing number of covid-19 worldwide, the MoH advised citizens and residents in the Sultanate of Oman to the necessity of adhere to health guidelines during the days of Eid Al-Adha, to avoid contracting the virus.


The ministry requests the public to abide by health requirements when holding social events and when performing Eid prayer.


People who show covid-like symptoms, including sneezing and coughing, are urged to adhere to the preventive measures and healthy habits.


“Patients who suffer from acute respiratory symptoms are preferably have not to attend the Eid prayer and not to take part in family visits and gatherings”, the ministry instructed.


Not to hug people when greeting is among the instructions issued by the MoH .


The Ministry also advises the public to wear a mask in closed places, and to adhere to health precautions when visiting the pilgrims coming from the Sacred Land.
