Bandar Seri Begawan: The 3rd meeting of the joint Oman-Brunei Committee was held in Brunei’s Ministry of Finance and Economy on Monday.
During the meeting, the Omani side was headed by Dr Saleh Said Masn, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Commerce and Industry, while the Bruneian side was headed by Dr Hajah May Faezah Binti Haji Ahmad Ariffin, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Finance and Economy for Economy.
The two sides reviewed areas of economic, business and investment cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of agriculture, fisheries, food industries, converting industries and tourism. They also explored the possibility of striking partnerships to augment the volume of trade exchange between Oman and Brunei.
The two sides stressed the importance of activating cooperation and coordination channels in a bid to enhance bilateral relations that serve the interests of the two countries’ peoples.
The meeting was attended by Ahmed Hashel al Maskari, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Brunei Darussalam, several officials from Brunei’s Ministry of Finance and Economy and the delegation accompanying Oman’s Undersecretary for Commerce and Industry.
