Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held a bilateral meetingwith President Samia Suluhu Hassan of the United Republic of Tanzania, who is on a three day official visit to the sultanate, at Al Alam Palace on Monday.
The talks explored the strong bilateral relations binding the two countries and ways of elevating them to realise the aspirations of the Omani and Tanzanian peoples, in addition to reviewing a number of matters of concern to both sides.
The two leaders also exchanged views on various matters of common interest.
Earlier in the day, the Tanzanian President visited the national museum and was briefed on the history and civilization of the Sultanate.
The President also paid a visit to Dar Al Hanan of the Omani Cancer Society, during which she was briefed about the various departments of the establishment, its objectives, the role it plays, and the services and facilities it provides for children with cancer.
