MoL launches National System for Innovation and Change Management

Muscat: The Ministry of Labour on Sunday launched the ‘National System for Innovation and Change Management, on Sunday.


By launching the new system, the ministry aims to achieve harmony and integration in administrative work between the units of the civil administrative apparatus and keep pace with developments and modern administrative approaches in managing all divisions and departments of the civil service.


The new system, launched under the auspices of Shaikh Nasr bin Amer al Hosni, Under-Secretary for Labour at the Ministry of Labour, also aims to direct development and training in accordance to the actual needs at the units, design an efficient system for the exchange of knowledge regarding the best administrative practices at government units.


Shaikh Saud bin Hamad al Hamouda, Director-General of Development and Quality Assurance at the Ministry of Labour, stated that the National System for Innovation and Change Management is one of the enablers of Oman Vision 2040, noting that the ministry embarked upon gradual implementation of the system a while ago.


The Ministry of Labour collected more than 82 successful practices at various entities in addition to specialized research and studies that aim at administrative development. The National System for Innovation and Change Management is aimed at enhancing institutional reputation in accordance with the international standards that will be applied from next October to 2025 through an e-platform containing research and studies, the official said.


The event witnessed presentation of visual displays on the theoretical framework of innovation and change management, succession and career pathways and institutional excellence as per the European model, risk management and the balanced performance card. — ONA
