Muscat: The Ministry of Energy and Minerals, in conjunction with the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in the United Kingdom (UK) and the Anglo-Omani Society, held a panel discussion in London.
The discussions covered major investment opportunities in the fields of oil, gas and renewable energy in Oman.
Present at the event were businessmen and representatives of private sector companies operating in these fields in both countries.
Dr Mohammed Hamad al Rumhy, Minister of Energy and Minerals reviewed the promising opportunities to secure diverse energy sources to contribute to the comprehensive development in the Sultanate of Oman in these areas.
In his remarks, Al Rumhy said that serious response to all international requirements, foremost of which is the goal to reach zero carbon, greatly pushes towards clean energy alternatives and the renewal of local and international plans. He stressed that working in the field of green hydrogen might be one of the future solutions and that the Sultanate of Oman strives to develop its production capabilities and open new markets in this field.
