HM receives credentials of ambassadors

MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received separately at Al Barakah Palace on Tuesday credentials of a number of ambassadors of friendly countries accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.


His Majesty the Sultan received credentials of the following ambassadors: Thomas Lid Ball, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of King Harald V of the Kingdom of Norway, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.


Mark Lawrence Donovan, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of President David Hurley, Governor-General of Australia, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.


Coulibaly Drissa, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of President Dr Alassane Ouattara of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.


Muhamed Jusic, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of President Zeljko Komsic, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.


Hrachya Poladyan, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of President Vahagn Khachaturyan of the Republic of Armenia, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.


Frederico Manuel dos Santos, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of President João Manuel Lourenço of the Republic of Angola, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.


Barney Richard, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of President Cindy Kiro, Governor-General of New Zealand, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.


During the sidelines meetings with His Majesty the Sultan, the ambassadors conveyed greetings and best wishes of their countries’ leaders to His Majesty and the Omani people.


They also expressed their great honour and delight in presenting their credentials before His Majesty the Sultan. They affirmed to exert their sincere efforts to promote relations of their respective countries with Oman in various spheres in a manner that serves the joint interests of the Omani people and their countries’ citizens.


His Majesty the Sultan welcomed the ambassadors, expressing his gratitude for their leaders’ greetings and best wishes. His Majesty confirmed that they would receive all support from him, the Government and the Omani people to facilitate carrying out their duties.


The credentials presentation ceremony was attended by the Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, the Foreign Minister, the Commander of the Royal Guard of Oman, the Head of the Royal Protocols and the Military Aides to His Majesty the Sultan. — ONA
