Muscat: Two crew members of a dhow were injured after a fire engulfed a vessel in the Musandam Governorate, according to the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA).
The injured suffered were given emergency medical care and taken to hospital.
The firefighting and rescue teams of the CDAA, in cooperation with the Police and the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO), were able to control the fire and prevent it from spreading to other ships anchored at Khasab Port.
CDAA called on ship owners and their employees to adhere to safety procedures to avoid any such incidents.
