Muscat - People of Nizwa welcomed the holy month of Ramadhan quite differently from the previous two years and especially the Al Aqr village streets are decorated with attractive lighting.

Mosques, which were closed for two years due to the Covid pandemic, have opened their doors to receive the worshipers.

The history of Al Aqr village is traced back to 1,500 years and was considered the center of the ancient Islamic Imam and decision-making. The neighborhood, which is guided by a wall that spans 2km in length with four gates, has 300 houses and 17 towers all built by Omanis.
