The competition featuring traditional Omani weapons was held recently in the Wilayat of Nakhl
MUSCAT: In line with its strong commitment to promoting Omani heritage and culture and extending strong support to various sporting, cultural and social events, Bank Muscat, the leading financial services provider in the Sultanate of Oman, participated in the successful organisation of Al Ahad Al Mashreq Shooting Championship recently.
The competition for traditional Omani weaponry was held at the shooting range in Nakhl in the Governorate of South Al Batinah from March 22-26, and saw an excellent turnout of over 1,440 shooters representing the Sultanate of Oman’s different governorates.
Salim bin Mohammed al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, was the chief guest at the event. He handed over prizes to the winners in the presence of a number of Their Excellencies, Shaikh Waleed K al Hashar, Chief Executive Officer of Bank Muscat, a number of shaikhs as well as large numbers of fans of traditional sports.
