

Oman Communications and Information Technology Group (OICT) celebrated the launch of the new brand identity’ ITHCA Group’ under the auspices of His Highness Sayyid Loay bin Ghalib al Said at the Royal Opera House on Tuesday. His Highness Sayyid Kamil bin Fahd al Said, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ITHCA Group, was present on the occasion.
The ceremony was attended by Said bin Abdullah al Mandhari, CEO of ITHCA Group, several ministers, under-secretaries, CEOs, media representatives, investors and entrepreneurs interested in the technology and communications sector.
ITHCA Group was established in 2019 to develop the infrastructure of the communications and information technology sector, expand the range of networks and enhance digital capabilities in the Sultanate of Oman through integration and partnership between the public and private sectors and international companies.
The Group will also expand investments in emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), financial technologies, and other technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Boosting Investments
In a statement to the media, HH Sayyid Kamil stressed that most of the Group’s investments were harnessed in modern technologies, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the Internet of Things and high-performance cloud services, besides advancement of the technical innovations sector, betting on young national capabilities and the inspiration of pioneer business people in small and medium enterprises.
On the sidelines of the launch ceremony, Said bin Abdullah al Mandhari, CEO of the Group, emphasised on the continuation of the efforts to develop the information technology sector, cloud infrastructure services and to promote digital transformation in the Sultanate of Oman.
The ‘ITHCA’ logo reflects the group’s vision in the speed of its networks, transfer, and use of modern data, and reliance on the creativity and aspirations of the ambitious generation of young people. “This is why the young man’s face appears as he looks forward to the bright future ahead.”
The new identity was chosen to reflect the Group’s commitment to invest in modern technologies and enable the employment of information and communication technology in the Sultanate of Oman in various sectors, keeping pace with the technological development witnessed by the world that includes all aspects of life and the business environment. The revolution of things was selected to be the slogan of ITHCA Group.
