Muscat: Six people died while several others were rescued following a rock collapse at a worksite (quarry) in the Al-Arid area of Ibri wilayat.
The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority(CDAA) said the search for missing people under the debris is still on as continuous rockslides are hampering the operations.
Four people have been treated in moderate to critical conditions.
According to local sources, there were 55 workers at the accident site.
