Muscat: Hamad Mohammed al Dhawyani, Chairman of the National Records and Archives Authority (NRAA) held at the NRAA's HQs on Monday a session of talks with Shaikh Dr Khalid Khalifa al Khalifa, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Executive Director of Isa Cultural Centre in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The session discussed aspects of cooperation in the fields of documents, archives and historical studies between the two countries and means of enhancing them to serve the joint interests.
During the session, the two sides stressed the importance of promoting bilateral coordination in the fields of historical, civilizational, intellectual and scientific conferences.
NRAA Chairman gave a briefing on the role of the NRAA in preserving the nation's memory and adopting modern systems for managing documents and archives in accordance with the latest international standards, besides its role in familiarizing the local and international community with its contributions to the historical and civilizational aspects in the Sultanate of Oman through organizing conferences, seminars and documentary exhibitions at the local and international levels.
