Muscat: A delegation from the Command and Staff College and the National Defence University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) visited the Military Technical College (MTC) on Tuesday.
The delegation is headed by Brigadier Hussain Awadh al Harbi. Upon their arrival, members of the delegation were received by Air Commodore Eng Mohammed Abdulaziz al Syiabi, Dean of the MTC.
The delegation was briefed on the college’s education and service facilities, in addition to its general curriculum, technical specializations and the various educational levels.
The delegation also visited the Extended Reality (XR) Center at the college, which is concerned with virtual training by using extended reality technologies such as augmented, mixed and virtual reality, to provide an opportunity to interact with virtual components in the virtual environment.
The XR centre aims at providing a virtual environment similar to the working conditions of the students in their future military sites.
