Muscat: The Omani Olympic Committee on Tuesday launched the Arabic version of the book 'Managing Olympic Sports Bodies', which is one of the most important curricula taught in sports management courses for the Omani National Olympic Committees and employees of sports federations and the various media.

The book is issued by the International Olympic Committee from English into Arabic with the aim of benefiting from international programmes that cover all areas of sports development.

The inauguration at the OOC headquarters was attended by Taha bin Sulaiman al Kishri, OOC Secretary-General, Ali bin Salim al Busafi, Director of Olympic Solidarity at OOC, and a number of sports federation officials.

This initiative comes in cooperation with the International Olympic Solidarity, where this book will contribute to strengthening and facilitating the implementation of sports management courses in Arabic language. The book aims to present a simplified and practical image of the management science that has been developed by Olympic sports organisations around the world, and to development their structure, and exchange experiences and knowledge among workers in sports institutions.
