Muscat: The 2nd meeting of senior officials between the Sultanate of Oman and the European Union (EU) on the level of technical work teams began at the general diwan of the Foreign Ministry here on Tuesday.
The two-day meeting comes within the framework of the cooperation arrangement agreement, signed in 2018 between the Foreign Ministry and the EU’s External Action Service (EEAS).
The Omani side during the meeting was headed by Shaikh Khalifa Ali al Harthy, the ministry’s Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs while the European side was headed by Carl Hallergard, Deputy Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department in EEAS.
The meeting covered topics related to the joint cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the EU in various fields.
