His Majesty welcomes King and Queen of the Belgians

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received Phillippe Leopold Louis Marie, King of the Belgians, and Mathilde Marie Christine Ghislaine d’Udekem d’Acoz, Queen of the Belgians who embarked on an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.


Upon the arrival of the motorcade of the monarchs to Al Alam Palace courtyard, they were accorded an official welcome led by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.


His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik accompanied the monarchs to the Dais of Honour where the Royal Anthem of the Kingdom of Belgium was played, while the artillery fired a 21-gun salute for the King of the Belgians.


Then, His Majesty the Sultan greeted members of the official delegation accompanying the King of the Belgians, wishing them a pleasant stay. On his turn, the guest greeted some members of the Royal Family, Chairmen of the State Council and Shura Council, ministers, commanders of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) and the Royal Oman Police (ROP), Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Belgium and members of the Mission of Honour accompanying the King of the Belgians.


After that, His Majesty the Sultan, the King and the Queen of the Belgians proceeded to the hall where they took Arabian coffee.
