Reflecting the continuous support of the Sultanate of Oman towards achieving the desired goals and objectives of HSE, the eighth edition of Global HSE conference and exhibition will be held in Muscatr next month under the theme "Excellence in HSE- leadership, sustainability, technology".
At a press briefing held here on Wednesday, it was announced that the Global HSE forum will be held during February 13-16 under the auspices of Dr Mohammed bin Hamad al Rumhy, Minister of Energy and Minerals, at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Global HSE 2022 conference hosted by the Ministry of Energy and Minerals comes as an initiative of Petroleum Development Oman in cooperation with iCONEX, international event organiser. It will witness local and international participation of public and private organisations, in addition to interested professionals in HSE practices.
The conference aims to continue the tradition of creating a sustainable platform for the industry to discuss and debate on various challenges faced by the industry and community and ultimately conclude with solutions for protecting the lives of people and environment.
It also aims to lay more emphasis on 3 pillars – Leadership Commitment, Use of Technology and mainstream focus on Sustainable Goals that organisations can persist in the current competitive and challenging market while having to meet legal requirements and communities’ expectations.
A number of local and international speakers, experts, technicians, specialists and academics are expected to participate to introduce their experiences in HSE field, In addition to a number of regional and international countries and more than 50 companies from different local and international organizations to highlight the latest technologies and experiences related to HSE, such as devices, equipment and modern system applications.
The participants will have the opportunity to network and meet a large number of global companies participating in this event, including Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), Saudi Aramco, OQ, Sadara Chemical Company, Saudi Arabian Mining (MA’ADEN) , Asyad, Occidental Oman (OXY), Bahrain National Gas Company (BANAGAS), Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO), Shell, NAMA Holding Company, Oman LNG, BP, Petrofac, CC Energy Development, Daleel Petroleum, Aluminum Bahrain (ALBA) , Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) and other international companies and other institutes and companies.
It will include an opening ceremony, 3 Keynote Address sessions, 4 panel discussions, 16 technical sessions and 7 workshops that will address various currents HSE related topics, such as Process Safety Management, International HSE Management Standards, Pandemic Risk & Response Management for Major Industries, Energy Efficiency & Climate Change, and successful practical experiences in the areas of health, safety, and environment, and related specialized topics.
The press conference was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, Petroleum Development Oman, in addition to a number of participants companies and sponsors.
